Carissa:
Well it's actually day 2 for me... the west coast time allowed me to arrive last night and spend a very enjoyable, relaxing evening at the Westin Harbour Castle. After a restful night's sleep, I met Minh in the lobby and finally got to meet Jenn!! (EWB Zambian volunteer guide) We spent the day (Thurs, Oct 2) visiting the EWB headquarters, meeting the directors and other members of staff, all of whom were delightful. We met up with Alden for lunch (manager of Aeroplan Community Investments) -- we were so glad she could fit us in her always busy schedule!
As the day progressed, it was more and more real that we're leaving tomorrow for AFRICA!!
Minh:
Folks, so we've had enough shots to survive whatever hits us... more to come. Not to be accused of being boring (with people over my shoulder)... we're picking a team name: would you like to suggest something? We picked up the mosquito bed nets, a USB key which we planted on Carissa to walk out of the store and thought would go beep. Woohoo... we're just about done for the day... a few more parking lot issues to finish.

- I am a former Aeroplan employee who will be working in Ghana for the next 4 month as a professional JF with EWB. My involvement with this organization stems from Aeroplan and the CSR program that allowed me to visit some EWB projects in Zambia last October. This blog will be an honest depiction of my journey through this amazing opportunity. I believe that the world we live is not only full of gaps but also full of potential.
